Newsroom at Meta
Meta's newsroom is the main source of information about the company and its products.

Overview
Meta's newsroom serves as the central point of record for the company and covers global news across our apps and services.
Design
As a Communications Designer at Meta Newsroom, I created designs for daily content on the platform to visually unify the site’s brand that contains all of Meta’s supporting apps.

Challenges
Since Newsroom serves for all apps under Meta, from Facebook app to Instagram to WhatsApp, the platform struggled with having an overall brand consistency within its visuals.
Design approvals were heavily reliant on the communications team, so we focused on shifting that responsibility to the designers and art director instead.
Growth
Mobile traffic grew 121% in 2020, allowing us to reprioritize for mobile by optimizing content and design to better fit with the dimensions for easier accessibility for consumers and press.
We created resource decks for designers and stakeholders that showcased design systems for every part of Newsroom’s content.

Series-based Content
To create more brand consistency, I also developed designs for reoccurring content such as Privacy Matters content and for the Oversight Board.
